Mustafa Alp ARI
Computer Science student and junior software developer building full-stack, mobile, and AI-powered accessibility projects.
Toronto, ON • York University • Expected May 2028
I focus on practical product work: reliable APIs, clearer interfaces, accessible user experiences, and systems that are simple enough to maintain after launch.
About Me
How I approach software work across web, mobile, and accessibility-focused projects.
Approach
I build practical software that makes product flows clearer and easier to use.
I am a Computer Science student at York University with an Economics minor, currently gaining hands-on experience across fintech platforms, React Native apps, and AI-powered accessibility projects.
I care about practical results: stable development environments, clean user flows, and interfaces that are easier to understand, test, and maintain.
Working Style
- I start by reproducing the real workflow and identifying where the system breaks down.
- I keep existing functionality intact while improving screens, navigation, and data flow.
- I pay close attention to accessibility, testability, and implementation details that affect users.
Capabilities
The kinds of software work I can contribute to right now, based on recent roles and projects.
Full-Stack Product Work
I set up, validate, and improve product flows across frontend, backend, and database layers.
- •Next.js, Express.js, and MySQL development environments
- •Admin workflows for users, applications, and qualifications
- •Authentication, JSON payload, and field-mapping debugging
Mobile UI Development
I refine React Native screens, navigation, and product hierarchy while preserving existing flows.
- •React Native and Expo interface improvements
- •Conflict resolution across active UI branches
- •Separate signup, login, and recovery flow implementation
AI & Accessibility
I build AI-assisted tools that make information easier to interpret and interfaces easier to use.
- •Visual narration and real-time interaction prototypes
- •Voiceover support and theme-aware dashboard experiences
- •API integrations for AI, audio, data, and live updates

Portfolio Highlights
Selected work from hackathons, market tooling, and AI-assisted user experiences.
S.E.N.S.E. — Best Accessibility Hack Winner
Built assistive smart glasses that use AI-powered visual narration to help visually impaired users interpret surroundings in real time, with ultrasonic sensing, haptic feedback, and a WebSocket caregiver dashboard.
Trading Bot
Built an automated trading bot for crypto and U.S. equities using live and historical market data, with dashboards for market data, trade history, and exportable records for analysis and accounting.
FindMyProf (Hackathon)
Developed an AI chatbot that matched students with faculty using preference-based scoring from academic interests and faculty profiles, plus a dashboard with theme switching and voiceover support.
Experience
Recent roles across full-stack fintech work, mobile development, and technical student leadership.
