Mustafa Alp ARI
Computer Science student building practical software for messy workflows, repetitive operations, and small teams that need clearer systems.
Toronto, ON • York University • Expected May 2028
I focus on useful outcomes: automation that saves time, interfaces that people can understand fast, and systems that are simple enough to maintain after launch.
About Me
How I approach building products and solving technical workflow problems.
Approach
I build useful systems that reduce friction and make decisions clearer.
I am a Computer Science student and builder focused on automation, AI-enabled tooling, and full-stack web applications. My work usually sits at the intersection of engineering and operations: identifying repetitive or messy workflows, designing a practical system around them, and shipping something that saves time immediately.
I care about practical results: cleaner systems, faster workflows, and interfaces that are easy to use and maintain. Most of my projects start with a messy process and end with a tool people can actually rely on.
Working Style
- I prefer building around real workflow pain instead of abstract feature lists.
- I like shipping a usable version fast, then tightening the system with feedback.
- I optimize for clarity in both UX and implementation so the tool stays maintainable.
Services & Capabilities
The kinds of work I can contribute to right now, based on projects and consulting experience.
Automation & AI Tooling
I build workflows that remove repetitive tasks and turn manual processes into reliable systems people can actually use.
- •Operational automations for outreach, tracking, and task orchestration
- •AI-assisted matching, classification, and drafting workflows
- •API integrations that connect existing tools instead of replacing them
Web Apps & Dashboards
I design and ship interfaces for internal tools and product prototypes with a focus on clarity, speed, and maintainability.
- •Responsive frontends for dashboards and data-heavy experiences
- •Reusable component systems and practical UI structure
- •Full-stack feature implementation for early-stage product ideas
Research & Technical Strategy
I support early product decisions with structured analysis, user-focused thinking, and execution plans that reduce guesswork.
- •Market and competitor research for product positioning
- •Feature scoping and roadmap prioritization for MVPs
- •Data-backed recommendations for process and product improvements
Portfolio Highlights
Selected work focused on automation, data tooling, and usable interfaces.
FindMyProf
Engineered an AI-driven platform that parses resumes and cross-references professor publications to generate hyper-personalized outreach emails. Built matching workflows that connect student skills to faculty research areas and automated Gmail drafting to dramatically reduce outreach time.
Trading Bot
Built a high-frequency trading alert system using Binance and Yahoo Finance APIs to monitor real-time fluctuations. Focused on low-latency execution logic and resilient error handling for live conditions.
Experience
Experience across student consulting, operations, and technical project execution.
